OUR ORGIN STORY

Once upon a time a young woman used to do events and vintage fairs in San Diego, pregnant or not with a little one on her back. Setting up canopies and tables. When the adventures moved to Arizona the creations were packed away and stored and the process of setting up at events was forgotten.

One fine day the hustle was chosen again and an event fee was paid. The day came and the totes were loaded in the van, the tables were set up and that’s when the struggles were truly remembered… the wind…the sun…the knocked over displays…the rain… and the woman vowed NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! This began the great search for an alternative, THE BOX TRAILER.

I knew I wanted more than a hauling trailer, I wanted a shop-able space. I wanted a display space that shoppers could get out of the wind and sun. The search seemed full of scams and insane costs. I found this old food trailer on a lot in my local town. The lot wanted more than I could afford. The husband was very hesitant. I saved and hustled and borrowed. But I finally bought her in April of 2022.

We had to remodel a previous food production trailer into a boutique on a shoestring budget so everything we could possibly use was leftover from building our house or other projects...”

When my poor husband came home and saw the state of the water rotted floors and mess… his face… well… it was a stark contrast to my own joyous and hopeful one. We had to remodel a previous food production trailer into a boutique on a shoestring budget so everything we could possibly use was leftover from building our house or other projects. From lumber to paint it was all repurposed. Finding creative ways to make a 37 yr old trailer feel new and fresh, to come up with fun displays that could also travel was a good brain exercise. Thank goodness the husband is mcguyver and can solve whatever kind of chaos I throw at him.

We were trying to get it ready and functional for an event right before Mothers Day. Understand that we Homestead, so doing this remodel was taking up really precious gardening planting that must be done in the Spring. It needed to get (mostly) completed quickly. We pulled her out for a local tattoo shop sponsored Car Show. Our first event was a success! I invited one of the local artists to draw small designs on the trailer. She was gaining her personality.

Our second event was an all day music festival. I knew we we needed light for the evening… so here goes the husband figuring out how to install a solar lighting system so we had shop-able light all through the event. Voila! We are a fully self sustained unit.

With every event, we are adapting and learning more and more. More bungee cords or baskets. Take things down or leave other things up. Every event has invited the outpouring of support and finding other like minded people at our Mobile Shop. The support we’ve received is motivates us to do more work, keep creating, and showing up to events.

Our dream is to keep this going! We are currently available for events, markets, and multi- day festivals. Our Mobile Shop offers events a unique flare and experience. We inspire by existing and showing up. So thats what we’ll do for you: show up and Inspire!
